Immigrate to the UK focus on UK immigrant life: According to reports by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), UK Prime Minister David Cameron has pledged that national wideband speeds will reach at least 10Mbps by 2020.
BBC indicated that Cameron's statement is intended to provide assurance to the public that, regardless of where they live and work in the UK in the future, their internet connection will reach at least 10Mbps, as the network is a basic amenity as essential as water and electricity.
Cameron stated: "Access to the internet should not be a luxury; it should be a fundamental component of 21st-century life in the UK."
Reports suggest that Cameron will introduce further relevant implementation measures in the near future. Cameron also added: "Just as our predecessors brought gas, electricity, and water to all, we will bring high-speed broadband to all families and businesses that need it."
Cameron also stated: "We will ensure the entire UK is connected to the internet and work to develop it into the most prosperous country in Europe." UK officials indicated that while over 83% of homes and businesses in the country currently use high-speed broadband, this proportion is expected to increase to 95% by 2017.
