The announcement disclosed that Rastar Group and its wholly-owned subsidiary, RCD Espanyol (Hong Kong) Limited, signed a share purchase agreement with RCD Espanyol shareholders Tevimore SL and Daniel Sanchez Llibre in Barcelona, Spain, on October 30, 2015. The amount for the company's wholly-owned subsidiary to purchase the 45.1%-56% stake in RCD Espanyol is between 14.3048 million euros and 17.7621 million euros.

Rastar Group stated that by controlling a world-class sports club, the company can directly enter the sports industry from the top-level resources of "competitions and clubs" and share in the dividends of the industry's explosive growth. Leveraging these scarce sports resources, the company will fully launch its "Industry + Investment" strategy in sports, further promote the deep integration of the gaming, toy, film and television industries with the sports industry, and enrich and improve the pan-entertainment industry ecosystem built by the company.

The announcement shows that RCD Espanyol is primarily engaged in the operation of a professional football club and is one of the teams in La Liga.
