According to reports from the Guinea-Bissau News Agency, on October 26, the Bissau representative office of the China National Fisheries Corporation donated a batch of labor protection supplies worth approximately $30,000 to the Bissau Handicraft Fisheries Association to improve the working conditions of local fishermen. The donated items included 8,000 pairs of cotton gloves, 1,000 pairs of waterproof gloves, 500 sets of fishery raincoats, and 1,550 pairs of fishery rain boots.
The China National Fisheries Corporation revealed that the company supplies over 1,000 tons of fish products to the Guinea-Bissau market each year, helping to alleviate issues such as employment and local fish supply shortages. To support the development of handicraft fisheries in Guinea-Bissau, the company will also invest in the construction of an ice factory with a daily output of approximately 100 tons and a cold storage facility with a capacity of 2,000 tons of fish products to ensure a steady supply of fish to the city of Bissau.
The China National Fisheries Corporation is a state-owned enterprise in China that has been operating in the Guinea-Bissau market for 30 years. The company consistently organizes social welfare activities and has made contributions in improving local employment, training, and fish supply.
