UK Immigration Insight: UK Immigration Education: To promote the learning of Chinese in the UK, the 2015 "Chinese Bridge—Chinese Proficiency Competition for UK Primary and Secondary School Principals and Delegates" tour, organized by Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters and the British Council, has recently commenced.
The visiting delegation of British principals consists of 59 primary and secondary school heads from England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. They are all committed to introducing Chinese language curricula in the future or developing inter-school friendship partnerships with Chinese schools. Recent data shows that there are currently 29 Confucius Institutes and 126 Confucius Classrooms established across the United Kingdom.
