Bissau

According to an announcement from the Presidential Palace of Guinea-Bissau, Prime Minister Nabiam needs to adjust the number of cabinet members to 34; otherwise, it will create a budget burden. The announcement also pointed out that there are several ministers from the previous administration of former Prime Minister Pereira who have corruption issues.

The 82-year-old Nabiam is a veteran of the ruling party, the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde, and serves as the first vice-chairman of the party. He has served as Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau three times. On September 17, Embaló signed a presidential decree appointing him as the new Prime Minister. This appointment is considered key for Guinea-Bissau to emerge from its political crisis.

However, with the rejection of the new cabinet list submitted by Nabiam, the country has been without a cabinet for nearly two months now.
