Ireland Immigration focus on Ireland's economic development: According to an Irish media report on September 21, the 2015 Global Innovation Index shows that Ireland has surpassed Luxembourg and Denmark to become the world's eighth most innovative economy. Cornell University, INSEAD, and the World Intellectual Property Organization jointly surveyed 141 economies worldwide, measuring their innovation capacity and measurable outputs based on 79 indicators. Ireland's efforts in recent years have paid off, resulting in an improved status among global economies. Meanwhile, to solidify this position and promote economic prosperity, the key lies in the government's continued support for innovation policies.

The top five countries in the 2015 Global Innovation Index are Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands, and the United States. Meanwhile, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Jordan, and Uganda also hold leading positions among economies at comparable development levels.
