Hong Kong Immigration insights on Life in Hong Kong: Chen Zuoer, President of the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macao Studies, stated in Hong Kong on the 21st that for the development of any country or region, the cultivation and growth of youth are crucial. As Hong Kong is transforming into a knowledge-based economy, it is even more necessary for the youth to inject vitality and creativity into society.
Chen Zuoer, while attending the "Career Planning for Hong Kong Youth" sharing session that day, said that the rise of the Chinese economy has become the locomotive of global economic development, and China's contribution to world economic growth now ranks first. As the Pearl of the Orient, Hong Kong has made significant contributions and achieved great success in the country's past development. Today, in the country's new round of development, Hong Kong can create brilliance once again, and the primary hope lies in the youth.
Chen Zuoer said that youth is the golden period of life and the most fruitful time for acquiring knowledge. Students should make plans for their growth during this period, and teachers should also shoulder the heavy responsibility of helping youth gain more experience, encouraging them not only to focus on Hong Kong but also to look at the motherland behind Hong Kong, to travel and see more of the country, and to broaden their horizons, which will be very helpful for their future development.
The sharing session was hosted by the Chinese Association of Hong Kong and Macao Studies. The event also invited several young entrepreneurs to share their growth experiences with more than 100 Hong Kong middle school students present. Han Zhiheng, head of Hong Kong Multi-Angle Design Co., Ltd., encouraged students to participate more in social or public welfare activities, which will help them better understand themselves.
Xu Zewei, founder of the Beijing-based 91 Financial, shared his entrepreneurial experience using the currently popular internet finance sector as an example. He said: "Young people should start a business at least once, even if it is just opening a small shop. Even if it fails, it does not matter, because you have taken charge of solving problems independently, which is a very valuable experience."
