Hong Kong Immigration focuses on Hong Kong Immigration Business: The Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Edward Yau, stated on the 10th that after years of efforts by the government and the industry, Hong Kong's wine re-export business has developed rapidly.
Edward Yau is visiting Australia, and during his visit, he will meet with representatives from the Hong Kong industry in the Barossa Valley, a darling of the wine "New World," to discuss how to leverage Hong Kong's position as a wine hub and seize the business opportunities brought by the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement signed in June this year, contributing more to Hong Kong's economic development.
On the 10th, Edward Yau wrote in the Hong Kong media about the wine re-export business, stating that the total value of wine re-exports in Hong Kong for the entire year of 2014 reached HKD 24.3 billion, an increase of 34.1% compared to 2013; this year the momentum is even more vigorous, with the total value of wine re-exports in the first half of 2015 exceeding HKD 20 billion, a year-on-year increase of three-quarters, which is encouraging.
Edward Yau said that the HKSAR government has always spared no effort in promoting the tax-free advantages of Hong Kong's wine industry worldwide, with the HKSAR government's overseas offices and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council working hard to promote in the mainland and overseas, and strengthening communication with local industries and media.
