Many people are still not very familiar with the geological and mineral resources of Guinea-Bissau, but there are some investors who specifically chose Guinea-Bissau for investment immigration, as Guinea-Bissau is a country rich in unique resources. Additionally, its underdeveloped economy means that there are limited developments, which suggests that there are abundant opportunities waiting for investors to explore.

Which Areas Are Recommended for Investment Immigration to Guinea-Bissau

The Republic of Guinea-Bissau is located on the west coast of Africa, with a land area of 36,125 square kilometers and a terrestrial area of 28,000 square kilometers. It has 60 islands, and the southeastern region near the border with the Republic of Guinea has the highest terrain, while the coastal areas are extremely flat and low-lying, often inundated during high tides. Three rivers flow into the Atlantic Ocean from north to south, namely the Cacheu River, the Geba River, and the Corubal River.

Guinea-Bissau is composed of three structural stratigraphic units: the most northern part consists of Precambrian crystalline basement; the central southern and eastern regions are the Boke Basin, which predominantly features horizontally deposited unmetamorphosed Paleozoic clastic sedimentary rocks that unconformably overlie the Precambrian basement; in the west, approximately one-third of the country's area is covered by Neogene continental shelf sedimentary rocks. These rocks are flatly overlaid on the Paleozoic formations. Reports suggest that there is an estimated 200 million tons of bauxite deposits in the Boke region, associated with lateritic weathering layers that cover the Paleozoic sedimentary rocks, and it remains undeveloped. Additionally, there are rich phosphate deposits in the Farim region. According to the latest investigations, the coastal region of Guinea-Bissau may also contain oil resources (which have yet to be developed due to territorial disputes with Senegal).
