The captain reported to the aviation authority about the incident that occurred that day. As he was piloting the passenger plane close to London Heathrow Airport, he noticed an oval-shaped unidentified flying object just a few feet away. He confirmed that the unidentified flying object was about to collide with the plane, but just as it was approaching, it veered away. It is still unclear whether this object, which was able to evade the plane in time, is a terrestrial object or a mysterious aircraft.
A report stated: "The captain did not perceive that the object was about to collide with the plane, and of course, there was no time to react. His first reaction was to tilt the plane to the right to avoid it and report to the first officer." The captain believed that under the circumstances, the plane would certainly have sustained some damage due to the object's proximity, yet it miraculously avoided a collision. Additionally, he described the characteristics of the unidentified flying object: silver-white, oval-shaped, with a metallic shell.
Dr. David Clarke, a consultant at the UFO History Museum at Sheffield Hallam University, stated: "The aviation authority clearly needs to investigate this matter thoroughly. The unidentified flying object seen by this pilot is very intriguing, and he certainly would not report it without reason, and his description is clear and specific, indicating that there is definitely something mysterious about it."
