Vanuatu's investment immigration focuses on the development of education in Vanuatu:
Recently, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of the South Pacific and the Australian High Commissioner signed a letter of exchange, whereby the Australian government increased funding to the University by AUD 800,000, committed to several key reforms aimed at improving its financial, administrative, and student research capabilities.
Due to the University of the South Pacific meeting its performance targets this year in areas such as financial management, human resources, and planning reforms, as well as enhancing the quality of teaching and research, the Australian government has increased this funding on top of the existing assistance.
According to statistics, in the fiscal year 2009, Australia's funding for the University of the South Pacific will increase to AUD 4.8 million (approximately USD 3.3 million), marking a 32% increase compared to last year.
