Immigrating to the United States focuses on life for immigrants in the United States. Worldway Immigration Group's customer service center in Los Angeles has recently learned that the healthcare welfare system in the United States is undoubtedly one of the most secure systems in the world. For some elderly groups among immigrants in the United States, applying for federal Medicare (commonly known as the Red and Blue Card) is very necessary. Worldway's "Life of Immigrants in the United States" column will provide a detailed series of introductions on issues related to the Medicare Red and Blue Card. In this issue, Worldway introduces the basic subjects, basic uses, and key knowledge of Medicare Red and Blue Card:

Target Audience for the Red and Blue Card Services

The Red and Blue Card (Medicare) is a healthcare insurance program specifically designed for individuals aged 65 and older after retirement. Certain individuals under 65 may also qualify for the Red and Blue Card, including those with disabilities, permanent kidney failure, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's disease). This program helps cover healthcare costs, but does not include all medical expenses or most long-term care costs.

The funding for Medicare comes partly from taxes paid by workers and their employers, and partly from premiums deducted monthly from Social Security benefits.

  Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D

1.Part A covers costs for inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facilities (after hospitalization), certain home health care, and hospice care.

2.Part B covers doctor services and many other medical services and supplies that are not covered by hospital insurance.

  3. Advantage Plans Part C are offered in many states. Individuals with both Parts A and B of Medicare can enroll in Part C and choose any healthcare provider or network that offers medical services.

  4. Prescription drug coverage (Part D) helps pay for medications prescribed by doctors.

In simple terms, Part A covers inpatient care, Part D covers prescription drugs, Part B is traditional Medicare, and Part C is known as Medicare Advantage, which is the previous federal Medicare plus selected plans.
