There is no objection to the request to demolish the Edificio España and rebuild it using the original materials, shape, and dimensions.
It is reported that on April 6, Madrid Mayor Manuela Carmena, Deputy Mayor Marta Higueras, and City Planning Councilor Jose Manuel Calvo jointly sent a letter to Wanda Group General Manager Michael Qiao, explicitly stating their willingness to comply with the renovation plan proposed by the Wanda Group. Furthermore, the Madrid side also expressed approval for the previously proposed plan by Wanda to "build only an underground parking garage, rather than a garage on every floor of the building."
