Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cyprus and China, bilateral relations have developed smoothly, with both countries comprehensively expanding cooperation and exchanges in various fields. In recent years, fruitful results have been achieved in areas such as economy and trade, energy, culture, education, tourism, and infrastructure construction. Many Chinese overseas investors have turned their attention to Cyprus,immigrating to Cyprus in search of more overseas business opportunities. Recently, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Cyprus held the "New Year" neighborhood gathering event for the third consecutive year, celebrating the New Year with dozens of neighbors and friends of the embassy. The atmosphere at the event was joyful and warm, with everyone enjoying Chinese cuisine, sharing friendship, and toasting to the New Year.
