The UK boasts a long-standing educational tradition, home to some of the world's most famous and oldest schools, which have cultivated historically renowned figures such as the philosopher Bacon, the physicist Newton, the biologist Darwin, and the playwright Shakespeare. To adapt to the rapid development of modern technology, UK higher education has undergone many fundamental reforms and developments. Recently, the UK government released a higher education reform proposal, suggesting that students should be at the center of higher education. In order to allow their children to receive a genuine British education, many parents choose to immigrate and settle in the UK, solely to provide their children with a better future. In other words, British education is a key factor attracting immigrants to settle there.

According to British media reports, the UK government recently released an outline of its higher education reform proposal, which aims to improve teaching standards, support more students from disadvantaged backgrounds in entering universities, and place students at the center of higher education.

The UK government's green paper, "Fulfilling Our Potential: Teaching Excellence, Social Mobility and Student Choice," will seek feedback on the following proposals: promoting teaching standards through a new Teaching Excellence Framework and providing students with more information, which will encourage teachers to focus on high-quality instruction and graduate employment prospects; broadening participation for students from disadvantaged backgrounds by providing courses that lead to employment or further study, and encouraging providers to focus on and support all students; ensuring students have a wider range of choices in high-quality higher education institutions by reducing bureaucracy, accelerating the process for universities to obtain degree-awarding powers, and establishing new universities; and establishing a new Office for Students to champion student interests, ensure teaching quality, and reduce regulation of the sector.
