In his address, Chinese Ambassador to Dominica Li Jiangning reviewed the glorious journey of the Chinese people, who, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, have moved from poverty and backwardness toward prosperity and well-being. He highlighted the remarkable achievements in China's economic and social development since the founding of the New China, particularly following the implementation of the reform and opening-up policy. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. As a staunch defender of peace and a founding member of the United Nations, China will continue to adhere to an independent foreign policy of peace and firmly safeguard world peace, stability, and development.

Ambassador Li stated that the establishment of the "China-CELAC Forum" last year has facilitated the deepening of cooperation between China and Caribbean countries. China-Dominica diplomatic relations have now entered their second decade, with fruitful cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, agriculture, and infrastructure development. The friendly exchanges between the two peoples have continuously deepened their friendship. The reception was held in a festive and harmonious atmosphere, featuring screenings of promotional short films such as "China Today" and "China's Landmarks." Guests engaged in warm conversations, shared their friendship, and expressed their best wishes and bright visions for the future development of China-Dominica relations. The reception also featured an exhibition of English books and DVDs promoting traditional Chinese culture, which were warmly received by the guests in attendance.
