Singapore Immigration focuses on Singapore's Economy: According to Credit Suisse's latest "Global Wealth Report," the total wealth of Singaporean households increased by 1.8%, reaching 1.1 trillion USD. The median adult wealth reached 98,900 USD, ranking seventh globally.
The report also indicates that since 2000, the average wealth of Singaporean adults has increased by 140%, from 112,800 USD to 269,400 USD in 2015, ranking eighth globally and first in Asia. The majority of this growth for Singaporeans is attributed to high savings rates and rising asset prices, as well as favorable exchange rate movements from 2005 to 2012.
The report points out that in terms of personal wealth, the average financial assets of Singaporeans amount to 173,435 USD, accounting for 54% of total assets, comparable to levels in Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the average personal debt reaches 54,600 USD, which is 17% of total assets, representing a moderate level among high-wealth countries.
