This route will have a total duration of19 hours and is expected to begin operations in2018, using the AirbusA350 aircraft. Currently, the longest flight route in the world is operated by Qatar Airways which connects Sydney and Dallas in the United States.
Malaysia Endau Analysis Company founder Yusof Shukor stated that Singapore often sees a large number of business travelers, and launching direct flights to the United States will help Singapore Airlines expand its market share in the U.S.
