Latvian immigration perspective on doing business in Latvia: The Latvian government has decided to provide additional support to fish, meat, and dairy producers affected by the Russian embargo as they explore new markets. The Latvian Ministry of Economics explained that the scope of beneficiaries will be expanded, and the agricultural and fisheries sectors will also be eligible for support in the next phase. Financial support for companies participating in international exhibitions, trade fairs, and matchmaking events will reach 90%. In the autumn of 2014, to counter Russian sanctions, the Latvian government allocated 7 million euros to support businesses in exploring new markets.
