Recently, at the World Tourism Brand Awards held in New Delhi, India, Portugal won three awards. TAP Portugal won the Leading Airline to South America award; two locations in the Algarve region in southern Portugal were recognized as the best leisure vacation spots. Among these, Vila Joya has been awarded the Best Boutique Resort for seven consecutive years; Conrad Algarve received the title of World’s Leading Resort.
The World Travel Awards, often referred to as the Oscars of the travel industry, were established in 1993 to enhance the quality of customer service and overall operational standards in the international tourism sector.
